Digital Breakup final piece

Here's one of my final pieces for the A-Z project, the word for this final outcome was 'deconstruction'. For this word I studied digital breakup, and found that it's a very big and interesting topic to work on. I plan on continuing to do work on digital images, especially looking at digital breakup for future projects.

The Pixel Princess

This video 'The Pixel Princess' I made last term was my first video uploaded onto YouTube. I made this video when I was looking into the area of pixelated images in the theme digital break up, and how it can be used to hide identities. The music soundtrack was done by France Gall, no relation.

Digital Downton

At Christmas time, while watching the new series of 'Downton Abbey', there was a big digital break up during the show creating funky patterns. Parts of the break up had a dissolving or deconstruction effect, other parts showed a variety of different colours on the screen displayed as some sort of pixels.

Charlie's Breakdown

While watching one of my favourite TV shows 'Two and a Half Men' on a night with a bad satellite signal from SKY thanks to the weather, I witnessed Charlie Sheen digitally breaking up on the screen. The digital break up of the image coincided with the actual break up of Charlie, when his time as the star of 'Two and a Half Men' came to an end.

Helvetica has us surrounded!

Sorry it's been so long since I last posted anything, hope you're all doing well, I'm fine thanks, anyway lets get onto todays post.

This documentary video shows just how often Helvetica is used and how common it is to see in the streets everyday. I'm even using it right now for this post. I think this proves it's one of our favourite type fonts.

Word Puzzle 'Universal Wrapping Paper'

Check out this cool wrapping paper concept, called "Universal Wrapping Paper". The crossword puzzle has text for every possible holiday you could think of!

I'm a big fan of this idea, it's great how you could use it for any time of the year and for all types of gifts, Christmas, birthday, Valentines day etc. Saves money not having to bother buying different wrapping paper for each holiday. I wish this was on sale, I'd definitely buy some and I think this wrapping paper would be quite successful in the shops.

Creative fruit carving

These people must really enjoy playing with their food.

Here's a few of my favourite fruit carvings, I've selected some for how humorous they are and others for how accurately carved and detailed they are. Check out the rest of the creative fruit carvings on the link below.
